DO YOU SWEAT WITHOUT PROFITS FOR WELLNESS AND SPORTS

Updated: 7d

Do you profit from sweat
Will you sweat without results

For example, someone who consistently engages in high-intensity workouts but fails to see any physical changes may be sweating without results. Despite their efforts to push themselves to the limit, they may not be incorporating proper nutrition or recovery into their routine, hindering their ability to see the desired outcomes.

A common question I get asked frequently at lectures from social media followers, general fitness clients, athletes, and even from friends is, "Why am I not seeing results despite working so hard?" It's important to understand that physical changes don't happen overnight. There are various factors that contribute to the effectiveness of a workout. Additionally, individual bodies respond differently to different types of exercises, so it's crucial to find a routine that works best for you.

Remember, it's not just about the sweat and intensity, but also about listening to your body, giving it the rest it needs, and fueling it with the right nutrients. It's possible that you may not be seeing immediate results because your body needs more time to adapt and build muscle, and your workout routine may need to be adjusted to better suit your body's needs and goals.

Coaching for wellness, fitness or sports is not about social media trends. This confusion is primarily due to the flood of information on different social media platforms with many exercise types, trends, etc. Let's say you are living a relaxed lifestyle and suddenly try a training regime, plan, or trend that you suddenly saw on social media. You will experience rapid improvement from your starting point if you engage in this activity, but you will then experience a sharp decline due to injuries, frustration, a lack of motivation, and losses at sporting events. Then this cycle tends to repeat. It is important to find ways to break this cycle and regain your motivation.

By setting small, achievable goals and surrounding yourself with positive influences.

There is a difference between following an exercise protocol for health, general fitness, and sports performance. The antidote to the social media and hype train is not rocket science; as a general rule, use common sense, basic instructions, and medical advice.

You can start to rebuild your motivation and confidence. It's important to focus on your own progress and not compare yourself to others. Surrounding yourself with positive influences, such as supportive friends or a coach, can also help boost your motivation and keep you on track. Remember, it's not about winning every time, but about enjoying the process and celebrating small victories along the way.

On the other side of the spectrum, you have people who train for aesthetics & bodybuilding as their primary goal; this is a tough lifestyle and a sport manageable with the correct guidelines if you so wish to.

However, not everyone finds enjoyment or motivation in the process of bodybuilding, and for some, the focus on aesthetics may actually hinder their overall well-being and satisfaction with their own bodies.

My area of expertise is in Wellness, Combat Sports, Tennis, Badminton & general population, the serious repercussion occurs when juniors and wannabe be pro- athletes or coaches & management who doesn’t have the necessary credentials & neither field experience of years nor a proven track record , these individuals often lack the knowledge and understanding of proper training techniques, nutrition, and injury prevention, which can lead to serious consequences for themselves and those they are responsible for.

Without the guidance of qualified professionals, athletes may be at a higher risk of sustaining injuries, experiencing burnout, and failing to reach their full potential. Additionally, the lack of expertise in coaching and management can result in poor decision-making and ineffective strategies, ultimately hindering the success of the team or individual. It is crucial for those involved in combat sports, tennis, badminton, and general population training to prioritize the acquisition of proper guidance and coaching.

In combat sports, such as boxing or MMA, the risk of serious injuries is heightened without the knowledge and expertise of qualified trainers who can teach proper technique and ensure safety measures. Similarly, in tennis and badminton, proper coaching can help athletes avoid common overuse injuries and optimize their performance through strategic training plans. Even in general population seeking fitness, wellness training, acquire services of qualified professionals as this can prevent injuries and help individuals reach their fitness goals efficiently and effectively.

It is important to remember that everyone's fitness journey is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another.

At what point does it become a health risk?

Especially when social media experts go beyond their scope of profession or practice by trying to mimic media clips, cut-and-paste theories, and data from the web and expect world-class results. In the process, you will be left with physiological and psychological scars that eventually require the consultation of professional physicians, coaches, or trainers.

Point to ponder :

1. The importance of understanding individual differences in wellness and sports journeys and how what works for one person may not work for another.

2. Exploring the potential health risks that can arise from following fitness advice found on social media, particularly when it is outside the expertise of the influencer or lacks evidence-based support.

3. Discussing the negative consequences, such as physiological and psychological scars, that can occur when individuals try to replicate extreme or unrealistic fitness practices they see online without proper guidance or consultation.

Supporting individuals in their fitness journey is crucial for ensuring their safety and well-being. It is important to promote a balanced and evidence-based approach to fitness rather than blindly following trends or advice from influencers. Educating individuals about the potential risks and encouraging them to seek guidance from qualified professionals can help prevent injuries and negative outcomes. By providing support and guidance, we can empower individuals to make informed decisions and prioritize their safety and well-being in their wellness journey.

How would a structured plan look?

1. Peak sports performance / aesthetic or health & wellness is highly scientific, complicated and individualized in every component of exercise, technical , psychology, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition & recovery (you can’t learn that from internet & social media) if that was easy you would see many world class athletes, there is reason why this is reserved for few. Same goes for men & woman who have amazing aesthetics. If you are in to general health & fitness make it smart & efficient to reach your goal with your trainer & medical doctor.

2. As athletes, you will know your mind and body better than anyone else (intrinsically). When you feel your performance is low—losing matches more than 80% of the time, getting injured, or being demotivated—this is a red light that you are using the wrong training methods in technical and/or in exercises. For general fitness, you will feel tired, demotivated and constant sickness

3. Winning 8+ times out of 10 in tournaments and peak performance happen when you find the right coaches who can individualize technical and performance training on a daily basis to fit your athlete and who can design and implement programming well. With an ounce of luck, winning becomes a reality. This is reserved for a limited number of coaches who can do the right mix (if winning world and Asian titles were as easy as social media, everyone would be champions).

4. Just investing in equipment or the latest trends will not give you results; it's about fine-tuning the programming and investing in the right professional, whichever part of the world you live in.

Tips for athletes and general wellness seekers:

1. Whatever the country you live in, find the right technical and performance coaches if you are focusing on a sport, or find the proper fitness instructor, trainer, and medical doctor who has the education, experience, and proven results with multiple athletes over the years.

2. If you are unable to find the above-caliber coaches in your respective country, find sponsors who can hire a few international coaches to get the job done if you are sports-specific(this is only relevant if your goal is international tournaments), as top-caliber coaches will come with a high fee structure. If you are a general wellness seeker, there are many qualified, experienced trainers and medical doctors in each and every country. Do your due diligence.

3. Invest time, money, energy, dedication, integrity , and loyalty with the right type of people. As the saying goes, "VIBE IS YOUR TRIBE."

4. If you are getting injured or not getting results "W"s on a regular basis, change the environment and coaches, trainers, and support groups.

As a takeaway point from this, it is important to research and choose a coach or trainer who aligns with your goals and values. Additionally, don't be afraid to seek out alternative support groups or environments if you are not seeing the desired results or experiencing injuries. Remember, finding the right fit can greatly impact your success and overall well-being.

I hope this article helps all. This was not intended to judge anyone at the end of the day. You are responsible for your personal choices, so make them count.
